married!

wow I have been SO behind! I can't believe it's been 5 months since I've updated. I'm a slacker I think. Life has been so unbelievably busy the past few months. Jon and I both moved back to Idaho Falls in May. Jon started a job at Brady's and he is their repair guy for the sewing machines, hot tubs, vacuums, etc. He LOVES it! He would never be the "behind a desk" guy so doing something that is hands on is great for him. He gets awesome benefits, great pay and a bomb schedule, so over all we are thrilled about it. I'm still looking for a job and its such a pain. I didn't want to work until after the wedding so now I'm full force looking for a job. blah. But on to the good stuff...we got married!!! woo!!! June 2nd was the best day ever. It was such a long, tedious, experience planning a wedding but I was so happy with how it turned out! We were very blessed with every one who contributed and helped. It was wonderful. We went to my family's cabin in Alpine WY for our honeymoon and had so much fun! We spent a lot of time in Jackson, we took a day and spent it in Yellowstone also. My aunt and uncle's family got Jon and I a dinner at the Bar T 5 cook out. It was our favorite thing! We rode into a camp on covered wagons drawn by horses then had a dutch oven dinner and they had a show. We loved it!  Coming home was hard. We are very fortunate to be living in a home that the couple is serving a mission so they are letting Jon and I stay there for a few months and save up some money. Every thing has been going so great for us. Our lives took a huge turn on April 8th when we found out we were pregnant! What a shock. At first I didn't really know how to handle the news but Jon and I are more excited than ever. We have the support of my wonderful family as well as Jon's. Jon has been so cute and is so excited to be a dad. He is going to do so great! We've been blessed with a great family, friends, ward, and bishop who supports us in everything. And we are so excited looking forward to our 1 year anniversary where our cute little family gets to be sealed together!

I finally got the internet back! So I am excited to do a little catching up on what is new in Jon and I's life. woo! A lot of great things have come our way the past month. I got a new job!! Yay! I am so excited about it. I got a job working in Farmington Utah teaching kindergarten. And oh my heck I LOVE it. I have the cutest kids in the world. It has been such a blessing. It is awesome pay, and i get benefits so that helps so much considering Jon and I are going to need those coming up soon (: Jon has been doing awesome at his job, he is getting ready to move to Wisconsin for a few months to do summer sales and I'm gonna miss the little nugget but it will help us out so much! We were very fortunate to get into a brand new house this month as well. The owners of the house are serving a mission so they are giving it to us for an amazing price. When Jon takes off to Wisconsin that means i get to move in (: The more time I spend in Syracuse the more I think I want to live here.

I've been so grateful for all the things I have been blessed with. Jon and I are working with our bishop getting ready for the temple and oh my. It has been such an amazing experience for us. Our relationship has strengthened so much and have seen first hand the countless blessing the Lord pours upon us when we are willing to do our part. I have nothing to complain about. I'm so happy! Sometimes things are crappy and sometimes I think I will never make it. But then a tender mercy comes and reminds me how wonderful my life really is!

Christmas this year was so different for us. It was the first time we had to "share" and it was really hard! We spent the first part of break in Idaho Falls with my family and I loved it. I got to see my favorite person ever Kimberlee Janae Harris. She has been nannying in New Jersey and I've missed her so much. It was wonderful to spend a few days with her. On the 23rd we did our annual midnight shopping spree with all the ladies in the family and had as much fun as ever. We did Christmas with my mom on the 23rd as well and wowwee we got spoiled rotten. My mom got Jon a pea coat which he's been needing and wanting for so long. He was so pumped. I got a sewing machine and the two of us got an emergency kit that we loved! Then we drove to boise to be with Jons family. We both got some clothes and some other much needed things. We've loved spending time with Jon's family because its harder for us to get here. Christmas this year was a lot different for me. I had some really neat experiences at my job and with my family it was just a wonderful break.

So since we are getting married I feel its the cliche thing to do to start a blog. I figured it would be fun to keep everyone up to date on our life since our families are so spread out. We are getting so excited for our wedding! We still have what seems like forever (6 months) but it is going by really fast. We've had wonderful help planning and getting it all together I dont feel stressed at all. I'm sure it will set in as it gets closer. As for now we are accepting all advice and tips that ya'll are willing to share.
Since we have THEE CUTEST story I want to brag and share to everyone how I met Jon.
I had taken a week long vacation by myself in san diego. I was going through some major changes and needed to kinda...refocus and figure my life out. It was such a life changing experience I thank Heavenly Father for every day. Well as I was headed back to Utah..on top of the world...I had a layover in the Denver airport. While I was waiting I was texting one of my friends who was working in Texas for the summer. He told me that his roommate was also in the airport waiting to get back to Texas. He gave me Jon's number and I texted him. We talked back and forth and tried to find a spot in the airport to meet but our flight times just didn't let it happen. I didn't think too much of it and kinda forgot about him. A few days after getting back to Utah and getting settled he texted me. We talked on the phone..texted...skyped..every day all day. I couldn't get enough of him! Both of us are crazy impulsive so we decided I should fly to Texas to meet him in person. Everyone thought I was nuts to fly across the country to meet a complete stranger. He called my mother and asked her permission (cutest thing ever right??) and so I did! I booked my flight!! I was so nervous and so anxious about meeting him. When I landed and was waiting to find him I thought I was going to puke. He pulled up, got out of the car and gave me a hug, and i felt completely at ease. I was so comfortable and we had so much fun together. I flew out to Texas a few more times and he flew to Utah. He ended up moving to utah so we could be closer together. We met in July and Jon proposed in November. Its been super quick but we've never looked back and I am so excited to marry my best friend!
